We run NOM on Win 2003 as well but we use the NOM_BuiltIn@xxxx as that
is the only one that seems to work with the admin account.

That does appear to be backed up by the Release Notes:-

"The initial domain name is NOM_BuiltIn@FQHN. FQHN is the fully
qualified host name on which the NOM server and NOM web client are
running."

Hi All=20
I am attempting to install NOM into a Windows environment with
no success, I have managed to get it working on Solaris.=20
Master Server =3D Windows 2003 SP1, NBU 6.0GA=20
NOM Server =3D Windows 2003 SP1, NBU Client 6.0GA=20
On the NOM server we installed Java 1.5.x that we downloaded
from the internet, PBX and VxSS as per the installation guide. We then
installed NOM, checked that all services are started, including the
Veritas Web service.
We start NOM and obtained a login screen choose English (or
Default) for the Language, admin for the user, Vxadmin for the password
and the Domain we left as the default which was broker@xxxxxxx.
This is the error message:=20
"User authenticationfailed. The user name/password are invalid
for the selected domain"=20
If we keep trying we eventually get a java dump:=20
"Exception Report=20
The server excountered an internal error () that prevented it
from fulfilling this request"=20
Further down:=20
"Root cause=20
Failed to get credentials. hostname.domain. [vx.
NOM_TRUSTED_CLIENTS hostname.domain]"=20
Any help or direction would be much appreciated.=20
