Hello Rusty
=20
It is a windows driver thing for the HBA card. It has to do with how =
many buffers can be chained together for a single I/O. You can look it =
up on the microsoft web site.=20
=20
But most of the HBA driver authors will allow you to change a config =
setting, most likely in a registry key, to up the buffer size.=20

Subject: [Veritas-bu] IBM LTO3 Buffer Sizes

I've setup a new environment with IBM LTO3 drives. I set =
SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS to 256K, but got an error in the details stating the =
drive only supported 64K and the job would not run. Sure enough, =
changing it back to 64K allowed the job to run as normal. Others have =
said that 256K is supported on LTO3, but I'm not sure what hardware or =
OS that is on. Is this an IBM drive thing, a Windows thing, or what? I =
would appreciate any ideas.
=20
Windows 2003 Master
NBU 6.0MP2
IBM LTO3
