I think you have to do the following (without going into detail)

Upgrade from 3.4 to 4.5 (latest MP)
Upgrade from 4.5 to 5.1 (latest MP)
Upgrade from 5.1 to 6.0 MP2

I don't think you can upgrade to 6.0 from anything else then 5.0 and 5.1
directly.

If I had the task you face I would hire a consultant to help me. It is a
major project. And remember that Veritas only support clients 1 major
release back (but 2 normally works)
I have a few clients still running 4.5 with 6.0, but that is because the
client operatingsystem is so old that there is no support in eg version 5.0
or newer.

You need to be at AT LEAST NBU 5.0 MP4 before you can do anything.

Hello,

I am currently running NBU 3.4GB on solaris 8 and would like to upgrade
to solaris 10 and NBU 6.0.  
Are their any documents on what files I need to save.  Or would anyone
know what procedures I need to follow.  I am going to install solaris 10
directly off of a CD as a fresh install.  No upgrade option.  So all the
files on the server will not be preserved during this process.  In the
end, i would like to have the ability to restore from previous backups
and if possible, keep the same policies that i had before.
