Nah, permissions are fine, but I have an alternative work around.
shame really, because archive should just delete the data as long as its
stored on tape, regardless of permissions.

Permisions?

You'll want bparchive to run as your admin user.

Simon

If a bparchive completes with anything other than 0, it should not delete
anything.

I used to run serveral bparchives every hour around the clock, to backup
Oracle logs then clear them from disk. It worked fine.

Status code 4 says "the backup part worked OK but couldn't delete the files
afterwards". Is there some other process with these files allocated while
the bparchive is running?

Cheers,
Dean

I have tried to use BPARCHIVE, and although this seems to "almost" work,
when it comes to deleting the files, it completes as a Status 4 - If I am
right, as if did not complete as a 0 or 1, the data on the tape cannot be
used in a restore situation.

My main problem is this: There is a folder that needs to be backed up at
23:59. Once Netbackup completes as a 0 or 1, I need it to delete this 1
folder.

I just wondere if anyone in a Windows Enviroment does anything similar or
have another routine to do this.

Thanks very much!

Morning
Got one Server, contained within a policy of other servers (5 servers backed
up in 1 policy)

One of the Servers needs its Data DELETED after the backup has been created.

Any best way forwards on this that can be acheieved within the Backup Policy
or on the client itself?
