I have been watching this discussion and trying to compare with our config.

Solaris 9 master/media server with a storagetek robot using SDLT tape.

Many assorted windows and unix clients.

All at 5.1 mp 4

One particular windows client is a NAS file server. This is backing up over
a gigabit network.

This is approaching 0.5 terabyte and take 23 hours to backup at 4-5 Mb/sec.
Not sure what M stands for!

I'm trying to determine if this is good or bad. We can not test a large ftp
because of the setup on the client.
