All,
Scenario:
We have a legacy of LTO cartridges created/written on LTO1 tape drives.
(referred to herein as LTO1 media)
The LTO1 tape drives have been replaced with LTO2 drives.
Question:
When the LTO1 media is written to by the LTO2 drives - will it be at the
new density or the old density ?
( I suspect it will be at the old density because the tape is already
"formated" for LTO1 density. )
Do I need to erase or label the media to ensure it is written to at LTO2
density ?
Thanks in advance,
Jorge
