If I am not mistaken, clients do not have any ports (incoming) except for
bpcd....
Try to host files and also put it's on IP in the file. I have seen many
problems solved, even though the network team was saying that DNS was
working perfect.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] NBU Port Issues

Any ideas would be appreciated. I'm kind of in over my head on this one (n
terms of NBU Knowledge.)

Master Server - Windows 2000 NBU 5.1 MP4 Client - Windows 2000 NBU 5.1 MP4

When I try to run jobs (backups, restores) from either the client or server
I seems to make the original connection (for example, client requested
backups que in the activity monitor) but nothing more happens.
I can't check client properties from the Master Server. Also, I can telnet
into the NBU Client Service port (13782) but not into the NBU Request
Service Port (13720) on the client.

Connecting To pbutil1...Could not open connection to the host, on port
13720: Connect failed

Link to possible Veritas Document ?!?!

I'm not running any of this software...
