Thanks for that! Thought it may be the case, as I could not see any
properties on the local client properties, which is a shame!!

"ScheduleBacku p Attempts"
Simon,
That is a global parameter and cannot be set for individual clients - as I
know it.
You could look at using the bpend_notify scripts...ie:
check status of backup: if $? <= 1,
if exist dir RERUN.pol.sched then "rmdir" it
exit 0
else
mkdir -f RERUN.pol.sched
rerun
fi
Using a dir is better than a file as it is not as easy to overwrite it...

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Urgent Quick Question - NBU 5.1 Master
Properties "Schedule Backu p Attempts"
Guys
Got a Remote Win2k3 NBU Master / Media Server scenario, that has their
"Schedule Backup Attempts" set to "1" every 12 hours!
The reason being, is that SAP Backup run, and they do not want these jobs to
retry!
Is there a way, to maybe specify a specific client can retry backup attempts
more than once, without upsetting the schedule backup attempts for the SAP
clients.
Problem: Server hosts clients that hold 4TB of Data, checkpoints not enabled
adn when a failure occurs, it fails and thats it!! No more retry!!
If anyone has an alternative solution, please let me know
Thanks
