Yes. I think Bob's got it.

We used to have one of these critters (EXB-220) and the manual-ness was 
amazing, including needing such commands as 'initrange'.

Thankfully better robotics and barcoding have made it easier on the 
operator and sysadmin staff here (we now have 2 L700s and 2 L180s).

We do use robtest often, of course:
- When we add a new robot, to determine device name to physical device 
mappings (So-lar-is).
- To move cleaning tapes around.
- To move volumes in and out of the CAP.
- To delay or otherwise tie-up a robot for a period of time (since 
robtest takes robotic control away from NBU procs). This one is most 
infrequently used and probably not very useful at face value...
