Is it because the tape drives are in use for other backups running?
What multiplexing have you got enabled? Is it one or multiple policies?

Does the job status show any other details in activity monitor when you
double click on the queued job or does it say "job still queued" ?

Also, is the policy configured to connect to the correct robot / tape drive
configuration?

Many reasons why, but would need to know a lot more to identify the cause
:-)

Does anyone know how to tell why a queued jobs is queued? NBU 4.5, Solaris
Master, HP-UX medias servers.
