>> I am using some old expired tapes that are no longer in use by our
previous netbackup 3.4 systems.

>> I am using them in the NBU 5.1 Server and some tapes are good, where
others appear to be bad.

>> Is there a way I can completely destroy the header or contents of the
tapes as I noticed some tapes do not get used if it contains TAR Data.

Simon,

I use the "bplabel" command for this, e.g.:

            bplabel -d dlt -m XYZ999 -o

Cheers,

Richard.
