I am in a little shock, so hoping someone can help explain this mystery!
I ejected approx 30 tapes from NBU 5.1 MP2 on 2003 Server. The tapes were
from varied volume pools.
The eject process completed successfully, I stored the tapes in a safe, and
replaced them with either new tapes or expired Media Tapes.
Weekend came and backups ran - some still going, but its working!
I just decided to see what was in the scratch pool, and by luke I happened
to check some of the volume pools where I removed Media from them on Friday,
only to discover there is no record of the tapes.
By record I mean, the Volume Pool would show an entry for the tape, even
though its not in the robot.
Decided to check the other pools, and to my horror, there are no entries for
these tapes!!!
Starting to worry now, because I wonder what on earth has happened.
I have noticed the SCRATCH pool is showing ALOT of Media ID's!!! Clearly not
in the robot, but i cannot understand what has happened!
Can anyone shed any light or help?
Simon
