Hi,
from what I know, there are two ways to backup open files: VSP and Shadow Copy
Service. When using SC, there are no vsp files created. MS uses it's one cache
file system. If you use VSP, then vsp file are created.

If the backup has ended , the vsp file is no longer of any use (except taking
up valuable space!).

I have used SC but it is very slow. It does backup though EVERYTHING! VSP is
not always status 0.

Regards,
Jim Peppas
