Hi Richard
Do not mean to sound negative, but how do you know? For example, are you
sending the same backup job to a different tape drive and noticing a
dropdown in speed?

Have you got any diagnostic software or tests to perform on the drives to
identify if there is a hardware difference or maybe a driver issue?

Also, what operating system is your NBU Host running? If its NT / 2000 /
2003 any SCSI errors or warning messages? Also, may be worth while enabling
some logging in NBU to see if there are any reasons for write delays to the
drive or drives in question.

Hope this is of some help!!

We have an ATL P3000 library with 5 DLT drives. Just recently, backups that
happen to land on two particular drives among the five seem to run much more
slowly than expected. Anyone else seen anything like this, please, and can
suggest a remedy?

Thanks!

Richard.
