Let me nip all of the don't install an x.0 app. I get that and this upgrade=
isn't imminent, it is on the horizon. I was looking to gauge the view from=
the community regarding what we all know about the technology surrounding=
 6.x.

It's a simple question. Never install a x.0 unless you look forward to=
many sleepless nights wondering if all is well. Or spending hours on the=
phone with tech support trying to convince them that you are the first one=
to discover a new bug! If you enjoy spending time with your kids on=
during the weekends go for the stable platform. If you want to spend more=
time with your kids (driving them to school, picking them up after school,=
taking them to play dates) because you are now unemployed after losing you=
firms data... go for the latest and greatest untested platform. So how=
much time do you want to spend with your kids?

Best Regards,
Darby Moses

I'm certain the community at large has an opinion, but if you were=
migrating to a new pristine backup environment would you start fresh with=
a variant of NBU 5.x or NBU 6.x? The environment will end up being 2 or 3=
AIX master servers with 3 dedicated media servers per environment and=
roughly 25-30 Oracle media servers per environment. Roughly 1000 clients=
 spread across the master servers.
