You can set it up so that you're doing an *Alternate Read server* and
read the tapes that are written on the source media server on the
destination one so that the Vaulting is being done locally to one host.

Is that what you're looking for?

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has experience with running NetBackup Vault
jobs where source tape drives are on one media server and destination
tape drives are on different media server, so you are doing Vault
accross the network.

We are looking into doing local backups to Virtual Tape library and to
use NetBackup Vault to copy those images to an off-site
(real) tape library.

Thank you!
