Mirko,
One thing to check -- do you have the correct descriptions of the
tape devices in your "st.conf" file? If not, N/B may be thinking it can get
more on the tape than is possible ...
Good Luck!
Richard.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Tape Error -> Error for Command: space
Hi there,
I've got a problem in my newly set up NetBackup 5.1 environment. Some backup
jobs failed with the following error:
scsi: [ID 107833 kern.warning] WARNING:
/pci@1d,700000/SUNW,qlc@2,1/fp@0,0/st@w500104f00077743e,0 (st25):
Error for Command: space Error Level: Fatal
scsi: [ID 107833 kern.notice] Requested Block: 1
Error Block: 1
scsi: [ID 107833 kern.notice] Vendor: STK
Serial Number: .402
scsi: [ID 107833 kern.notice] Sense Key: Media Error
scsi: [ID 107833 kern.notice] ASC: 0x0 (<vendor unique code 0x0>),
ASCQ: 0x2, FRU: 0x0
scsi: [ID 107833 kern.notice] End-of-Media Detected
Shouldn't NBU automatically detect end of media and select new media when
appropriate? I'm sure I did something wrong, any ideas about it?
Thanks a lot,
-- Mirko
