Have you disabled VSP on the master server for these clients? I've found
that with unpatched installs of 5.0 running on wintel clients, VSP can
sometimes cause backups to slow down to a grinding halt. Additionally, they
tend to leave behind fairly large temp files that only seem to go away on
reboot - if you attempt to delete them manually, a dialog box appears and
states that the file is still in use, even if the backup job has long been
terminated or completed.

I have a couple Windows Server 2003 clients that are backing up extremely
slow.
10 kbs - 0 kbs. Both are Gig cards.

Running Solaris 10 media & master servers. Running Netbackup 5.0 mp4 on the
media master servers.

Any idea why my wintel 2003 is performing so poorly? I did not apply any
maint packs
to the wintel clients. It is running the base 5.0 client. I did not apply
the mp to the clients because
of the veritas bug not allowing you to turn off snap mirror.
