Does anyone know the specific reason why (DLL conflict or something
else), as to why we can't have NetBackup and BackupExec client agents on
the same server. We have a specific server that we want to backup with
NetBackup. However, the special IT support team for the Execs may want
the ability to do their own backups as well to a local tape drive.

I am aware that Veritas states not to use both products to back up the
same box. The question is why? Since we may need to choose one or the
other backup software to use depending upon final implementation
testing, I would like to know what would be the preferred order of
installation and can we disable one backup system from running if there
are no DLL issues?

Thanks,
