[Veritas-bu] Restore from a cumulative
2005-08-20 20:54:30
I have not tried a restore like this YET ?
Have you selected Collect true image restore with move detection in the
backup policy attributes that use this cumulative schedule ?
Maybe possible that files have moved from place to place after the
Full and before the cumulative ?

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Restore from a cumulative
ok folks, what am I missing here?
The definition of a cumulative is everything that's changed since the
last full backup. When I try to do a restore from a date where a
cumulative ran, I can't pick the cumulative and the last full with out
selecting all the incrementals in between. This requires a lot of
additional tapes for the restore if we only run a full once a month. Is
there a way to do this via command line, or do I just not know how to
use the GUI?
Any info is much appreciated.
