Backup of of one of my Linux clients has entries logged (v5.1MP3) such
as this:
08/01/2005 14:39:55 ash cress.msln.net from client cress.msln.net: WRN -
Old TIR file /usr/openv/netbackup/tir_info/var/www/vhost/443/m/e
rpdocs.maine.edu/NetBackup_file_info.WkEndStdPolicy is missing. Backing
up everything in /var/www/vhost/443/m/erpdocs.maine.edu.
In each case, the directory displayed is a file system that has been
excluded.
If I were to guess, I'd say that no TIR file was written because the
file system is excluded, and now (on a later incremental) NetBackup is
complaining about no TIR file before realizing the file system is
excluded. NetBackup is, correctly, not backing up the excluded file
system, but reports this message.
Have I correctly described what is happening, or have I misinterpreted
what NetBackup is trying to tell me?
Thanks and cheers, wayne
