Hi,

I have a nbu server running under Solaris 9 with 8 GB of RAM.
The shared memory settings is like this:

set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=5368709120
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmin=1
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmni=512
set shmsys:shminfo_shmseg=100

The netbackup data buffers settings are the following:

NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS=64
SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS=262144
6 drives
MPX=32

However, when I check the memory available (with top, for example),
I still have more than 6 GB free. Is this normal? How can I be sure
that the reserved OS shared memory is being actually used?

Thank you
