The backup ID can be obtained listing the images on tape, the
backup ID is the image name. Ex. ServerName_123456789

Assunto: RE: [Veritas-bu] Veritas 4.5 MP6 Datacenter - Changing expiration
dates / recalculating

I have tried the -m for media but it indicates to use either the policy name
or backupID -

I have been attempting to use the backupid with no luck?
It indicates that NO ENTITY WAS FOUND ?

I then refresh and re-run the images on media and it still indicates 90 days
retention level?

Thanks

V:\VERITAS\NetBackup\bin\admincmd>bpexpdate -backupid condor-p_1120436686
-client condor-p -policy condor-snap-resubmit -recalculate -ret 8 Are you
SURE you want to recalculate expiration dates on all images that meet the
following criteria:
  client condor-p
  policy condor-snap-resubmit
  backupid condor-p_1120436686
retention will be changed to 8(1 year)

Continue?(y/n)y
no entity was found

You'll be looking for a form of the bpexpdate command.

Something along the lines of bpexpdate -m <media id> -recalculate -retention
X
