Yeah,
If you got downed drives then they are probably mismapped or else the
robot control host does not have device driver acces to the drives
themselves I have had this problem before and had to physically unload
the tape from the tape drive and then use robtest to place the tapes
back into their proper slots.

Ok I just tested this and this does not work this way. I have 4 downed
drives with tapes in them and I ran a reset and they tapes did not
unload. do the drives need to be in TLD status and then run the reset
command through the gui?

It unloads the tape and places it back into the slot from whence it
came.

What does the drive reset do in the windows gui in the device monitor? I
realize that it resets the drive but how and is this a helpful command?
