All,

One more piece of information. After rebooting the master and media servers=
everything seems to work fine for some variable length of time.

Has anyone seen a situation where there are multiple (i.e. many) error code=
42 failures across many systems of all types (i.e. Windows, AIX, VMS, Sola=
ris)? Some of the failures occur on the same system where another file syst=
em/disk works. (e.g. /var fails, /usr works ) These are multiplexed, multis=
treamed backups local networked (no separate network) across a SAN to a re=
mote site with LTO drives in a ADIC scalar 1000 library. We are running NBU=
5.1 MP2 on all the UNIX systems and Window servers 4.5 on the VMS system. =
There are some 3.5 NT boxes but only one or two. The master server and thre=
e media servers are all windows 2000 running NBU 5.1 MP2 of course with the=
latest drivers for the NIC cards. This problem occurred regularly a few mo=
nths ago but went away after upgrading the NIC drivers. ANY suggestions wou=
ld be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Patrick
