When running a "vmglob -listall" or "vmglob -listall -java", there are
fields associated
to the "worldwide name". When I reconfigured the drives through the use of
vmoprcmd -h <mediaserver> -autoconfig " -a"
...the devices were entered correctly and matched against the serial
number, but
the entries for the above were not set.
So the long output for a drive from "vmglob -listall" looks like this:
=====================================================================
device type: drive
device name: IBMULTRIUM-TD12
serial number: 6811150159
hostname: sv3102
volume database hostname: -
robot number: 1
robot drive number: 3
robot type: TLD
drive type: hcart
flags: 0x2000
worldwide name: IBM ULTRIUM-TD1 6811150159
worldwide name type: -1
inquiry: IBM ULTRIUM-TD1 4561
library name: -
vendor drive name: -
robot control host: -
ACS: -1
LSM: -1
PANEL: -1
DRIVE: -1
But others don't have the same field filled out...
=====================================================================
device type: drive
device name: IBMULTRIUM-TD10
serial number: 1391204111
hostname: sv3102
volume database hostname: -
robot number: 1
robot drive number: 1
robot type: TLD
drive type: hcart
flags: 0x2000
worldwide name: -
worldwide name type: -1
inquiry: IBM ULTRIUM-TD1 4561
library name: -
vendor drive name: -
robot control host: -
ACS: -1
LSM: -1

Is the worldwide name entry used more than just for comment?
Thanks
