The biggest advantage of the McData switches over the Brocades is the
hot firmware loads.  Brocade can't do them - you need to take the switch
offline.  McData firmware loads can be done live while you're in full
production.

I've found the McData switches relatively easy to manage although the
web interface is a bit buggy.  I've had director-class switches that had
nice issues that stumped EMC and took some serious escalation within
McData to identify.  I've had zero hardware issues with our edge class
switches.

No vendor is perfect and if you look around, you'll find people who have
had issues with all of them.
