How many files are you backing up?
This can have a huge impact on the speed of backups, especially for Windows.

Curious what others see in backup performance on windows file servers.
Setup -
     Dell 2650
     ~500GB of data
     SAN media server
     9840 tape drives
     Windows2003
     Symantec antivirus

I'm seeing only about 10-12MB/sec on these systems. The backup is
inline copied to 2 copies and takes an annoyingly long time to
complete. I'm wondering if anybody has a similar setup and can share
the speeds that they see. Anybody with similar setup and no antivirus
software?
