Yes, you should be able to find that in the Admin Guide. I don't know
about Oracle as I believe it would be driven by RMAN.

Is it possible to recover a directory to a machine other than the one it
was taken from? If it is possible can someone point me to the manual
where it is described? I am intertested bith in a filesystem recovery
and an Oracle RMAN recovery to a machine other than the source of the
backup.
