Typically for DBs larger than 500GB, or should I say, takes longer than the
acceptable backup window to backup, use 3rd mirror copy for baclup.
Else use Oracle Rman.

How do you guys and gals perform you large oracle backups?? We have an
incoming oracle db that are about 1.5TB - 2 TB..
We run NBU 5.1 MP2 on hpux 11.11.. Our oracle servers will also be hpux
11.11..
 
All ideas are welcome.
