Thanks for all the replies, most said to run bplabel. I did run bplabel and
received this error:
C:\Documents and Settings\veritas>bplabel -ev att160 -d hcart
Request terminated because of volume pool mismatch
Any ideas?

Subject: [Veritas-bu] reusing a catalog backup
I had a tape accidentally get used as a catalog backup tape last week. I
have deassigned, deleted, expidated, you name it I have tried it, but they
still FREEZE when used for backups as the system still thinks they contain
Catalog backups.
I searched the archives and searched google and didn't see a resolution.
Anyone had success doing this?
Thanks,
Jim
