You would have to create a user schedule in the policy the client is in.
Then on the client, you will need to schedule a bpbackup command to run
with the appropriate command parameters. This is pretty common for
database backups. In one of our account, we submit most of our db jobs
this way because we need to run some processing before the backup runs.
=20
The bpbackup command will look something like this:
=20
bpbackup -L <progress log> -p <policy> -s <schedule> -c <Client to be
backed up> -S <master> -f <filelist.txt> or you can just list the file
or folder to be backed up on the end. Check the syntax on the command to
be sure I'm right.
=20
=20
Thanks,
=20
Kris

Start the backup from the client. It will only run once, sucessfull or
not.

Ok. I have been requested by one of our DBA folks to not retry a backup
for a DB where the backup has failed the first time through. The retry
setting is global so I cannot turn it off that way. Does anyone have any
ideas on how I can have Netback not to retry a failed backup?
