Hi 

I have seen this problem when the device driver is the windows default one.
I got it working buy installing the manufacturers device driver for win2k
o/s. If you go into windows device manager and select the robot and then
check driver details make sure it does not say 'unknown'. Once the driver
has been updated go back to NetBackup robot and browse for the new robot,
select OK and try inventory

Hi all

Ive migrated a compaq msl5026 library with two sdlt 220/110 drives from a
solaris server to a new windows 2k server. Both server have netbackup 5.1
installed.

Ive added the w2k drivers for the library to the windows server and windows
seems to be detecting the library and drives correctly. Netbackup device
wiz detects the robot and drives but did not detect that the drives are in
the robot - device wiz lets you fix this. All is lookiing good.

Then Ive gone to inventory the library and I get:

robot inventory failed:  Unable to open robotic path (201)

Any ideas please
