As always the sizing depends on your needs.
Our Master server on Windows 2003 server is a Dell 2850 with 3 GB ram and 2
x 3,2 Ghz processors, 2 x Emulex LP10000exDC HBA's and NBU database on a
StorageTek D280 disksystem.
Master server is also media server and at the moment it is the only media
server I have in production.
My peak over our LAN is around 150 MB/s (using 2 NIC's that are teamed)
We backup around 70 windows clients with a total of around 1,5 TB a day.
And I have never had any performance problems with this server.
NBU is 5.1
