In the Host Properties Master Servers Global Attributes, there is a
COPIES parameter. Try upping it. I believe you'll probably have to
recycle NBU daemons for this one to take. I have mine set at 5. For
some reason you must set it one higher than you think you'll need!
However, if this is a copy of a copy of a copy, you might be right.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Need to make another copy of an image

Hi everyone,

=20

I'm discovering what might be a "feature" of NBU that I don't
necessarily like. I have an image I want to make another copy of using
bpduplicate for archiving purposes. The original backup job made two
copies of the image. When I try to make a third copy, NBU won't let me
because I already have two copies, and apparently that's some kind of
hard upper limit to the number of copies of an image. I don't see an
argument to pass to bpduplicate to force another copy. When I looked
through the archives of this list, I see someone in 2002 had a similar
complaint, and had to go around the problem by expiring one of the
copies of the image he was trying to make an additional copy of. Will I
have to do the same thing on NBU 4.5?

=20

Thanks!
