You can find PDFs of all the documentation there as well as patches and
a knowledgebase to search.

Yes. You have basically two options; export to flatfiles and backup with
a regular filesystem backup, or use the SQL database agent. The
flatfile backup is simpler to deal with, but the database agent gives
you some interesting flexibility in how you handle the backups.
