My mistake it's multistreaming not multiplexing.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Status 71

Greetings,=20

Since our upgrade of the master server to 5.1 we have been getting
Status 71 error (none of the files in the file list exist). We believe
this is related to multiplexing and would like to know if anyone else
has seen and worked this particular problem.

More Detail....=20

Notice that for policy Corp_Nas01 we specify that the following drives
are to be backed up....=20

root [31] bppllist Corp_Nas01=20
INCLUDE F:\=20
INCLUDE G:\=20
INCLUDE H:\=20
INCLUDE I:\=20
INCLUDE J:\=20
INCLUDE K:\=20
INCLUDE Q:\=20

But also notice the output from bperror is looking for
"Y:\SQLBackup\Netbackup3":=20

 root [6] bperror -d 01/15/2005 -e 01/15/2005 22:00 -client vbk1nas03

client vbk1nas03 exited with status 71 (none of the files in the file
list exist)

This is very random and it's not tied to one specific server, virtual
server or policy. This week alone we have had 71 errors 10 times on
three different servers, different policies which are different from the
servers it happen on last week. From our analsys it seems that
NetBackup is grabbing the "Backup Selection List" from a policy that is
in the multiplexing queue. Anyone else seen this problem?

TIA,=20

Rick.=20
