Hi All,
Merry Christmas, happy holidays and all that :)

We've got a minor problem that has been bugging our operators for
months! At the moment, when they want to use the NBU Admin or
Backup\Restore Console, they have to log in to the Master server with a
generic local admin account (don't ask!)...

What we'd like, is for them to use the NBU admin console which is
installed to a win2k Terminal Server, but not make them local admins on
any of the servers.

When trying to launch the Admin console from the terminal server using a
non-admin account, I keep getting stopped with:
----
"Unable to connect to the selected netbackup host "<MasterServer>".

1. Make sure the user "<MyAccount>" has privileges on the host.
2. Make sure the local host is listed in the server list of the
destination host "<MasterServer>"
3. Make sure there is a valid network connection.
4. Check authentication.
5. Make sure all the services are running on the host."
----
#1 is not true, I don't want the user to have Windows Administrator
privileges.
#2&3 are true.
#4 seems ok - I think.
#5 is true.

I've read the BackupCentral FAQ's, I've read the NBU Admin guide, and
I've read the online help, but none of it seems to help...

If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear from you!

Otherwise, have a great holiday season.

Regards,
Tim.
