I am trying to duplicate my backups for offsite storage.

My set up is as follows :-

Solaris 9. Netbackup 5 mp3

Master server -> connected to L700 with 5 drives. ( 3 of which are SSO 
and shared )
Media1 -> connected to L700 3 shared drives
Media2 -> connected to L700 3 shared drives.

The 3 shared drives are the same for each media bit so theres only 5 in 
total.

Now i got backups working ok now so master server does all the network 
clients and the media servers basically just back themselves up ( as 
they are db machines with big local storage ). The media servers 
obviously write to their own storage unit and use different media, 
although they are sharing drives.

Now i am coming to do a duplicate invoking it from the master server. 
This is how im invoking it :-

bpduplicate -dp Offsite_Cinc -dstunit <masterhost>-hcart2-robot-tld-0 
-hoursago 2 -sl Daily_Cinc -L /var/netbackup/log/duplicate.out


All the network client images are duplicated fine, but the database 
client ( i.e media servers ) cant duplicate and fail with things like :-

INF host etc etc ...read failed, system error occurred (130)
INF host etc etc.... write failed, termination requested by 
administrator (150)   <- and i have not terminated anything.

The job log on the gui says a bit more

Cannot connect to the writing side process for duplication, Connection 
timed out
plus the above messages


Do i need to have a separate job and specify the dstunit for the 2 media 
servers individually?
I was under the impression when coming to restore any storage unit could 
restore from the media regardless if it wrote to it or is that 
incorrect? Im just wondering if the master server stunit cannot read the 
tapes which where written by the media server storage units.

Any ideas?
