Yes. If this was a scsi attached drive to a filer, anything that causes
the drive to drop off the bus requires a reboot of the filer in order to
probe the scsi bus and find it again. Replacing a drive is one of those
things...

Subject: [Veritas-bu] NDMP Drive Problem, Emergency
Hi all,
WE are running Netbackup 4.5 FP3. We had a drive failure on the ADIC
scalar 24 tape drive, and swap it out with a new one with the same
SCSI ID, We also re-created the NDMP drive for the NetApps 825i filer,
but when trying to start a NDMP backup, the jobs fails with error 219,
the required storage unit is unavailable(219). Question, will a
reboot of the filer fix this problem?
Many Thanks,
Yang
