Anybody using Offhost backups successfully with EMC?

Master: Solaris 9, Media: Solaris 9, Client: Solaris 9.
NBU 5.1 MP 1.
EMC Clariion CX300 with Navisphere & Powerpath.

I can do a snapshot backup (not offhost) where the snapshot is being created
successfully.  Add in the offhost part however and it fails with error code
43.  From the bpdm/bptm logs it seems like the files are starting to come
across from client to media successfully, but it is getting a premature
end-of-file when starting to create the backup image.

The client's bpbkar file is showing :

Any ideas?  This is all new to me & unsure how to progress this or
troubleshoot it further.  Any step-by-step guidelines out there for setting
up Advanced Client?  I have a case open with Veritas but currently waiting
for initial callback; haven't managed to find a lot of use on the support
site.
