Hi,
=20
Thanks for your reply. Yes, this is a possibility but I may go into a
race condition when our network monitoring may detect a drive is down
(when I down the drive to get tpreq to work) and then sends an alert. I
have a way around this, but I'd prefer, if possible, other ways (if
there are) before I resort to this method.
=20
My colleague just pointed out that I can do something like:
=20
echo "m s# d#" | tldtest -r <robotpath> -d1 <drive1_path> .....
=20
I think it will work and I'll try it out tomorrow morning.
=20
Thanks
Chee Wai

Subject: RE: [Veritas-bu] How to mount a tape to a specific drive in a
robot
Hi,
=20
I am noivce to Netbackup. I need to be able to mount a tape media to a
specific drive in a robot via UNIX command. tpreq does not allow me to
do that.
=20
Please advise how this can be done. (I know the robot type and drive
number)
=20
Thanks
Chee Wai
=20
=20
=20
How about "down-ing" the other drives while you do the load and then
"up" them again?
=20
Good Luck!
