hi,
one of my clients has backups with multiplexing. they need sometimes to
prolong backup session (add more time until it expires).
they use the following command:
# bpexpdate -backupid $BACKUP_ID -d 12/12/2004 12:12:12
is this command 'safe' to prolong the backup session?
they had once a problem with backupid, which was on two tapes. they
prolonged the session and while they were trying to restore the backup
(after the original retention period but within the new one) the backup was
present on the first tape but on the other tape there was no such backup.
they use nbu 3.4.1.
regards,
