Yep - it was a big problem. I upgraded to 5.1 and that fixed that problem
among others (only one hang in the past month). With 5.1MP1 out just last
week you may want to look into that - it [supposedly] fixes the VSP problem
that has plagued many people.

Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

We upgraded to Version 5.0 running Solaris 9 a few weeks ago. No Patches
have been applied.

We have just started to observe sessions hanging and therefore other backups
queued behind it. I tried to cancel some of the queuing jobs but to no
avail. The only way I could get things running again was a reboot. It
seems to happen only on weekends when we do our full backups, or maybe this
is when it's most apparent.

Has anybody seen this before?

Regards

Phil
