Not that this is your particular problem, but you get
99's if you tell ndmp to backup dirs that don't exist.

I had a typo in one of 20 directives to backup, and i
didn't realize it.  With multiple data streams on it
was hard to tell which one was causing the 99.

Is it 99 for every backup via ndmp or just some of
them?  Also, if your ndmp host is a netapp, you can
check the various ndmp and backup logs on the netapp.
