Note - these ascii files may well be big - they take the .f file and the
catstore files of same basename and convert to ascii. Don't ask why its this
format, its very peculiar. All we do is query all images into a mysql
database every day so we can run real queries and analyse the data.

Its cat_convert -b2a <file>.f
 
( b2a = binary 2 ascii )
 
You get a <file>_ascii.f

I'm looking for some command I can use in scripts that dumps the file list
in ASCII. I would expect the command to look something like:
 
<command> <possibly options> <.f file from somewhere in the catalog>
 
It should produce output similar to cat'ing a .f file from pre-v4.5.
 
I'm now looking at bplist, but I haven't found the command line manual page
for it (yet) to see if an appropriate set of command line options suits this
purpose.
