Folks,
I'm attempting to fetch information about tape drives in a robot using
vmoprcmd. The command syntax is:
vmoprcmd -h <robot host> -xdraw ds
This gives me machine parseable data which I'm attempting to decipher.
I have a fairly good idea of the meaning of most fields except the
following:
state - field 11 - is this a numerical value that can give me
information about the current state of the media i.e. whether it's up
or down .. in the middle of a mount or dismount or writing etc?
user - field 5 - is this the user currently using this tape drive?
request - field 8 - no idea
assigned - field 12 - is this the media server that this drive is
currently assigned to? i.e. the one that is currently using it? Could
be different from the <robot host> given above in case there are
multiple media servers sharing a robot?
comment - field 15 to the end - is this a per-media-server comment or
a per-drive comment?
control - field 3 - currently at ACS ... not sure what else it could be
media_evsn/rvsn - fields 5 and 6 - what's the difference?
Any help would be appreciated.
