I am working on an excel spreadsheet to project next years tape
consumption based on a growth rate.  To do this fairly accurately, I
need to know if NetBackup calculates the retention periods for the
months as true months or does it do a multiplier of days?  I.E.  Tapes
that go off site 1/1 will they come back 7/1 or will they come back in
180 (6*30) days, 6/29?  

Has anyone done an excel spreadsheet that they would like to share?
