With version 5.0 it is possible to do incremental backup of exchange
mailboxes. Your problem needs to be deeply analized to find the cause of the
problem

Hi:
AFAIK, with Exchange servers, only possible backup strategies are Full
backups, incrementals of the mailboxes will not work.
Please, refer to the NB Exchange administrators guide for more
instructions about this, but at least in 4.5 (and in 5.x will be pretty
much the same).
