Vmquery -m <mediaID>
This will show the pool number
Then again run vmquery but as shown below Vmquery -deassignbyid <mediaID>
<pool_number> <status> Use the number 1 for <status>

Then run bplabel on the tape
# bplabel -help
Usage: bplabel -m media_ID -d density [-o] [-p volume_pool_name]
     [-n drive_name | -u device_number]
